Evap Code P0441

Hi, I keep getting fault code P0441 from my 2001 V6 Galaxy, which I believe is evaporative emission control pure line fault. I get the engine warning light on the dash reset then after a while comes back on again. It comes on in a month sometimes after 2 months.

 

Any ideas on how I can correct this problem to prevent it re-occuring.

Check all your vacuum pipes for splits/perishing

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I have the same issue on my Galaxy it's the same age and engine too. Do/did you also get a strong smell when you start the car up? I'd be very interested in what you did and if you fixed it.
